One-Line Bio

We are only here for a little while, lets all get a long!

Biography

I have been a human/disabled rights activist for 14 years! My main actions are focused on the disabled and poor. I used to travel with the disabled rights group ADAPT. When traveled with the group we went to the states/cities who were in most need of change. Most of the demonstrations I was involved with ranged from getting better home health care for people with disabilities some who lived in institutions and wanted to live independently but needed help leaving the places their families put them in. I also was involved in making sure our bus systems were ADA compliant. I have protested in the rotunda in Washington DC to HUD in Memphis TN and the list goes on. Now I have my blog and inform people about issues that way! I lived in Seattle for 4 years where I was a volunteer at the downtown food bank and I did things ranging from helping hand out food,to raising money and working on benefits. I truly learned a lot from working there which helped me gain better advocacy interests in spreading awareness for the homeless. Now I advocate through my blog and hope others will spread what I share. ... I have Cerebral Palsy, and recently diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis (Nice combo right)?!

Daily there is so much news around the world that can inform us upon things we never knew, or have us want to debate and ask questions.

Homelessness, disabilities, illnesses, Governmental issues that impacts a persons life who depends on Medicaid,SSI,Housing,Food, ADA,etc.

I welcome everyone to be involved and comment on my blog so we can have a dialog! The more we learn from each other, our knowledge on issues grow!
